6 Month Anniversary & New Blog!

Welcome + NSN Story

Hello! I’m Megan- RN and founder of Nurses Supporting Nurses (NSN). I am so thankful to be celebrating our 6 month anniversary today! A little about NSN in case you are new. This winter, I was really struggling with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I was off work due to my mental health struggles as well as long haul covid symptoms. I wanted a way to help support my fellow nurses, CNAs, and nursing students. I saw a lot of my coworkers struggle right along side me the past two years. My therapist suggested I try hosting a virtual support group. On March 9, I held my first support group. 6 months later, I am still facilitating support groups every Wednesday for nurses, CNAs, and nursing students! NSN started as a support group and now has it’s own Instagram, FB page, website, and offers other mental health resources for nurses!

A few quick facts about the past 6 months of Nurses Supporting Nurses:

  • 26 virtual support group sessions for people across 10 states
  • Sent 6 Self Care Newsletter to over 70 people
  • Published a “One Line a Day Reflection Journal” and donated 3 complimentary journals to the NSN community.
